NMAT Exam

NMAT is also referred to as the NMIMS (NarseeMonje Institute of Management Studies Management Aptitude Test). The NMAT is held on the national level for admission into the Postgraduate Management courses. It is conducted by the GMAC (Graduate Management Aptitude Council). The GMAC is an international body that develops management aptitude tests for B-Schools entrance exams.

NMAT Exam 2018 Pattern & Syllabus

In a year, a candidate can take this exam thrice. If a candidate feels unsatisfied with his/her performance in the last N-MAT exam, then he/she can schedule the ‘Retake exam’. In the final merit list, the highest marks obtained by the candidate will be counted.

NMAT Exam 2018 Eligibility

Educational Qualification –

  • A candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3/4 system) with a score of 50% marks in aggregate, in any discipline from the UGC recognised University.
  • The specific educational requirement for specific courses – Candidates who want to get admission in the MBA –Pharmaceutical, should have a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences or Science.
  • Candidates with Bachelor’s in BAMS, MBBS, BDS, BHMS, B.Sc or Master’s degree are also eligible for the course described above.
  • Eligibility for Postgraduate Courses- The candidates with Masters in Psychology, Economics and Sociology are also eligible to apply for the exam.
  • Eligibility for Technical Course – The candidates with Bachelors in B.E/B.Tech or Bio-Medical are also eligible to apply for the exam.
  • Eligibility for Work Experience –The candidates with working experience in the Pharmaceutical Company for more than 2 years are also eligible to apply for the exam.
  • The Graduation final year appearing candidates are eligible to apply for the exam.

Booking Slot

After the submission of the application form, the exam conducting authority send a Login id and Password on the applicant’s email id. By using the login ID and password, a candidate can schedule the exam. The candidate should book the exam slot from the available slots. It is done on the first come first serve basis.


NMAT Exam 2018 Application Process

  • A candidate can apply for the NMAT 2018 Exam online.
  • The candidate should visit the official website of the GMAC’s NMAT 2017 Exam.
  • A candidate should get registered through the registration window on the website. For registration, a candidate should furnish his/her details like Name, address, and valid Email id.
  • After registration, login credentials (Login ID and Password) are sent to the candidate.
  • With the login credentials, a candidate can access the Application form.
  • A candidate should fill all specified columns of the application form. A candidate is required to fill out his/her personal and educational details.
  • A candidate should upload the scanned copies of the Photograph and Signature along with the Application form in the given sizes.
  • A candidate should also give details about the Identity Card that he/she will carry at the examination center.

Other Details

Admit Card Issuance

A candidate can download the Admit card online from the official website of the NMAT and get its print. He/she can get the admit card only after submitting the duly filled application form along with the application fee to the GMAC.

Note – It should be noted that the candidate should retain the Admit Card of his first NMAT Exam if he/she is opting for the retake of the previous exams.

Further, the candidate cannot opt for the same examination center which he has opted for during the first take of the NMAT Exam. 

Result

The N-MAT result will be declared in January 2018. A candidate can see the results online on the N-MATofficial website. The results will be available in the form of percentile score of the candidate.
