  1. For admission in MBBS, you must score more than 50% in 12th board examinations In Physics, Chemistry, and Biology altogether.

    For general Category students: Neet score should more than 50 % marks than the declared cut-off.
    For OBC Category students: Neet score should be more than 45 % than the declared cut-off marks.
    For SC/ST Category students: Neet score should be more than 40 % than the declared cut-off marks.
  3. If you have scored more than cut-off marks, then you can apply for private Medical colleges offering MBBS admission through valid Neet score.

*Cut-off marks is the average of the highest marks score by an Individual in Neet Ug entrance exams.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has taken the responsibility of conduction of the exam and declaration of the result.

The board will also provide the rank card to the eligible candidates.

You will need a score equal to the minimum required percentile in your respective categories in order to qualify the exam and become eligible for counseling of NEET conducted by the DGHS and state counseling authorities.

NEET 2018 result will also reveal the cutoff score equivalent to NEET qualifying percentile and will also mention category-wise cut-off scores of All India Quota.

Counseling Procedure For MBBS In India 

NEET UG 2019 Counseling Schedule & Admission Procedure for MBBS, BDS Admission will be announced on the official website of Medical Council Committee.

Declaration of NEET UG 2019 Result 05.06.2018 (Tuesday)

The first step for counseling process is that all eligible aspirants have to apply for the online application form.

To get MBBS seats you need to apply for respective counseling departments and get verified your original documents in person or through online process.

Once you have verified your original documents you can apply your MBBS seats under General Quota, NRI PIO Quota or management quota through centralized counseling.

  1. Apply for all India medical Counselling for 15%  total MBBS seats in India.
  2. Also. Apply for Private medical colleges Counseling in India through directorate of medical education website of your state.
  3. And Apply for Deemed medical colleges through Medical counseling committee of India.

All India Quota Seat Counseling

15% of the total seats for MBBS are available under All India Quota.

Also, some of the seats are reserved for backward class students under 15% AIQ quota seats.

  • 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,
  • 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates,
  • 27% seats as per Central Act are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidate
  • 5% seats of the seats shall be filled up by candidates with disabilities.

The counseling will be conducted by Director General of Health Services (DGHS) for admission to 15% All India Quota seats.

All the aspirants who will qualify NEET UG 2018 will be eligible to participate for 15% (AIQ) seats as per the availability.

The counseling for All India Quota seats will be done in two rounds through online mode.

The vacant seats left after two rounds of NEET UG Counseling 2019 for AIQ seats will be transferred to the respective state counseling authorities.

Central Institutions & Deemed Universities Counseling

Counseling for 100% seats in Deemed and Central universities will be conducted by DGHS as per rules and regulations of the concerned University or Institution.

Also, DGHS will conduct the counseling for seats reserved for wards of insured persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges and seats at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune.

The counseling for Deemed and Central universities in three rounds.

The first two rounds of seat allotment for AIQ seats, Deemed Medical colleges, and Central Universities will be done together.

The mop-up counseling round for Deemed and Central universities will be scheduled in August 2018 held by DGHS.

The MCC will release the college –wise seat matrix which will contain the details of various seats available in medical, dental colleges across the country.

The release of the seat matrix will be done before the commencing of the counseling.

To participate in NEET 2018 counseling for AIQ,  Deemed, and Central universities, interested candidates who are declared qualified in NEET 2018 will be required to register themselves for counseling.

Counseling For State Quota Medical Seats

NEET 2018 counseling for remaining 85% State Quota seats in Government medical, dental colleges and 100% seats in self-financing and private colleges in the states will be conducted by the respective state counseling authorities.

Every state will release its own counseling schedule and online application form for NEET 2019 state counseling.

As per the orders of Supreme Court of India, every state will conduct a common centralized counseling for MBBS, BDS admission in its state.

The reservation of the seats in medical colleges for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws prevailing in State, Union territory concerned.

It is mandatory to participate in centralized counseling based on neet entrance score for MBBS in India.

As per the rule of Medical Council of India[MCI] that all Medical admission for 2018 has to be completed through centralized counseling conducted by Directorate of the medical education department of the particular state.

Though the total MBBS seats under NRI/ PIO/ Management quota seats available in counseling have no takers because of high tuition fees.

These left seats are surrendered back to private and deemed medical colleges after the mop up counseling is over.

These surrendered leftover seats are only available in Medical colleges of Karnataka and also in Deemed Medical universities.

Also, fees structure is same for all Private medical colleges of Bangalore.The tuition fees in private medical colleges of Karnataka is six lakhs thirty-two thousand per annum.

Private MBBS Colleges with low fees are available in Bangalore through Neet entrance exams and counseling conducted by KEA, Karnataka.

You will be only allowed to study in private medical colleges of Bangalore for the above fees structure only by getting a seat in KEA, Karnataka medical counseling through merit.

Private Medical Colleges in Bangalore, Karnataka also allows direct MBBS admission on basis of neet score through management quota, NRI, OCI & PIO quota seats.

15% of the total seats are reserved for NRI, OCI, PIO quota students and 5% of the total seats are under Management Quota in Karnataka Private Medical Colleges.

Also, For management quota, NRI, OCI, PIO seats in private medical colleges of Bangalore, You need to apply for Karnataka Exams Authority (KEA) UG Medical counseling pay MBBS admission.

Admission in Most of the Deemed medical colleges are located across India is done on the basis of marks scored in NEET exams.
