List of Medical Entrance Exams 2019

NEET

NEET UG is a national level medical entrance exam that provides the qualifiedcandidates admissions in various government as well as private medical colleges in the undergraduate courses. This exam is also a substitute to various MBBS/BDS entrance test.

NEET PG

NEET PG is also a national level entrance exam conducted to provide admissions to the applicants in different government and private medical colleges. Admissions are provided into MD, MS and PG Diploma courses to the qualified candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria as well.

AIIMS MBBS

AIIMS MBBS is conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. By clearing this exam, the candidates become eligible for enrolment in the MBBS courses offered by the Institute. The candidates can apply for this exam after the application form is made available (in the month of February tentatively).

AIIMS PG

AIIMS PG is another prestigious postgraduate medical entrance exam conducted with the aim to screen the candidates for admissions in MD, MS, MDS, DM, and M.Ch. courses. Admissions will be granted to the qualified and eligible candidates in the various AIIMS colleges situated all over India.

JIPMER MBBS

JIPMER MBBS exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER). The medical aspirants wishing for admission in the MBBS course can apply for this exam. Online registration for this exam commences in the month of March.

JIPMER PG

JIPMER PG exam is organized in order to grant enrolment in the MD/ MS courses. JIPMER has been declared as an “Institution of National Importance” and getting admission in this institute is a dream to many candidates. The aspiring candidates can submit their application for the exam from the month of September.

GPAT

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is managed by the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) to select candidates for admission in Pharmacy. All AICTE approved Institutions/University consider the GPAT score of the candidates for granting enrolment.

NEET MDS

NEET MDS is an eligibility-cum-ranking exam conducted for admissions in Dental PG courses. The conducting body of this exam is NBE (National Board of Examinations). No exam other than the NEET MDS is prescribed for Dental PG courses.

NEET SS

NEET SS or Super Specialty exam provides the selected candidates admissions in DM/M.Ch. courses. The interested and eligible candidates can submit their application form for the exam which is conducted in the online mode.

WBJEE JENPARH

WBJEE JENPARH for admission in B.A.S.L.P, B.M.L.T., B.P.T, and B.Sc Nursing courses is organized by the WBJEEB. The application from for this exam is released online most probably in the month of February. The candidates wishing for admissions in the mentioned courses in Colleges/Institutes of West Bengal can apply.

AFMC MBBS Admissions

The Armed Forces Medical College provides the meritorious candidates admissions into its MBBS degree course. The enrolment is granted on the basis of performance of the candidates in their NEET UG exam. The NEET UG qualified candidates will have to register themselves on the MCC website in order to be considered for AFMC MBBS admissions.

SRM MBBS, BDS & Pharmacy Admission

The admissions into the MBBS and BDS courses offered by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly, SRM University) are granted on the basis of NEET UG. However, it conducts SRMHSEE for offering enrolment to the applicants into its Pharmacy courses. Admissions into MBBS/ BDS courses will be done through All India common counselling by DGHS. For the SRMHSEE, the candidates can submit their application in online mode.

AIPMT

The All India Pre Medical Test/ Pre Dental Test (AIPMT) has been replaced by the NEET. By clearing the AIPMT (now NEET), the candidates will be eligible for admissions into various MBBS and BDS courses offered by the medical/ dental colleges situated all over the country (except JIPMER and AIIMS).

AMU MBBS BDS

The Aligarh Muslim University grants the applicants enrolment into its MBBS and BDS courses on the basis of NEET UG score. A combined registration form will be released for both MBBS and BDS degree programmes. The candidates interested in taking admission into this university can submit their registration form in online mode.

AU AIMEE Pharmacy Entrance Test

The Annamalai University organizes AU AIMEE Pharmacy entrance test to grant the candidates admissions into the M.Pharma courses. The interested candidates who also fulfill the eligibility criteria can submit their application form hopefully from the month of May and the entrance exam is conducted in the first week of July (tentatively).

LUVAS Admission

The Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS) screens the applicants for admissions into veterinary courses at diploma, bachelor and master level. The enrolment is granted into the various constituent colleges of this university. Separate application forms are released for admissions into different courses in online mode.

CMC Vellore MBBS/ BDS Admissions

The NEET qualified candidates can apply for admissions into MBBS/ BDS courses offered by the Christian Medical College, Vellore. The application process for admissions is released tentatively in the month of February. The interested and eligible candidates can submit their application form only in online mode.

Madhya Pradesh Dental and Medical Admission Test (MP DMAT)

The MP DMAT, earlier conducted by the Association of Private Dental and Medical Colleges (APDMC), Madhya Pradesh has now been replaced by the NEET. The NEET qualified candidates who are interested in admissions in MBBS/ BDS courses offered across the state of Madhya Pradesh can register themselves for admissions in the month of July.

Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test (UPCMET)

Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test (UPCMET) was a state-level medical entrance test for offering admissions into medical colleges situated in the state. This exam is now replaced by NEET. Now, the candidates with a valid NEET score are eligible apply for admissions in UP based medical colleges.

All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT)

The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) conducted AIPVT for providing admissions to the candidates into B.V.Sc. & A.H course. Now, the admissions to these courses under 15% All India Quota will be provided on the basis of NEET. The VCI will organize the counseling for the NEET qualified candidates for admissions to recognized veterinary colleges in India (except from Jammu & Kashmir State).

All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE)

The All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination now replaced by NEET PG was conducted for providing admission into post graduate courses in the field of medical science. The NEET PG is organized by the National Board of Examinations and the candidates qualifying this exam will be eligible for admissions into MD/ MS/ PG diploma courses offered by different institutes of the country (except some institutes like JIPMER, AIIMS, etc).

HIHT PMEE

The Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), a constituent of Swami Rama Himalayan University will be offering admissions to the eligible candidates into its MBBS course. The candidates who wish to pursue their MBBS degree from this institute can apply for admissions.

MGM CET

The Mahatma Gandhi Mission Institute of Health Science organizes a common entrance test for providing the candidates admission to BPT and MPT degree programmes. Separate CET is conducted for admission to UG and PG courses. The admission into MBBS course offered by this institute is provided on the basis of NEET.
