CMAT Exam

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level common management entrance exam which was conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) till 2018. As per a recent announcement made by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the exam will now be conducted by the newly formed, National Testing Agency (NTA). However, the eligibility, pattern, and other details related to the exam will remain the same. The CMAT score is accepted by all the AICTE-approved B-Schools for admission to their post-graduate management courses.

 

CMAT 2019 Latest Updates: As per a recent announcement by the HRD Ministry, CMAT 2019 exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The online application process will begin on 22ndOctober 2018.

CMAT Exam 2019 Pattern & Syllabus

A total of 100 objective type questions are asked in the CMAT exam from 4 different sections/subjects. Here is the section-wise distribution of questions and marks:

The total duration of the CBT is 180 minutes (3 hours). There is a negative marking scheme in the exam where 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

CMAT 2019 Syllabus

As of now, NTA has not prescribed any syllabus for the exam. However, considering the statement that there will be no change in the syllabus and exam pattern, CMAT syllabus would comprise of different topics from Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Language Comprehension, Data Interpretation, and Quantitative Aptitude.


CMAT Exam 2019 Eligibility

Nationality

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
  • Final year students of bachelor’s degree course whose result will be declared before the commencement of the academic year 2019-20 are also eligible to apply for the exam.

CMAT Exam 2019 Application Process

CMAT 2019 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). As per the schedule released by NTA, the online registration process will begin from 22nd October. Candidates are advised to register for the exam and complete the application process before 15th December. The CMAT application process can be completed through the following steps:

  • Go to the official website of NTA – https://www.nta.ac.in/.
  • Scroll down and click on “Management” section.
  • You will be redirected to the management exams page.
  • Click on ‘Registration’ button under CMAT exam section.
  • Enter the details asked for to complete the registration process.
  • Now log-in with the registration Id and password to complete the application process.
  • Provide all the details asked for such as personal information and educational qualification. Upload scanned images of required documents and make fee payment.
  • Review the completed application form before final submission.
  • You can take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.

CMAT 2019 Application Fee

Any revision in the application fee will be updated here after the official CMAT notification is released by NTA. Here are the fee details as per last year’s notification:

Mode of Fee Payment –

Registration Fee/application fee can be paid through both online or offline mode of payment. Online payment can be done through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card and offline payment can be done through e-challan at SBI bank branches.


Other Details

CMAT Exam 2019 Admit Card

CMAT 2019 admit cards will be released at the official NTA website. Candidates are required to login with their registered id and password to download the admit card. It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the examination venue for appearing in the exam. Also, carry a valid ID proof to the examination centre.

CMAT Exam 2019 Result

As stated in the official schedule, the result of CMAT 2019 will be declared in the last week of February 2019. Candidates will be able to check the result using their registered Id through the official NTA website. Detailed information will be available once the official notification comes.
