The De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (also referred to as DLSMHSI) is the medical school of De La Salle University, a Roman Catholic, Lasallian research university in the Philippines. It is an institution involved in health care education and research located along Mangubat Avenue (formerly Congressional Road) in Dasmariñas City, Cavite. It was established in 1987 when the Hermano San Miguel Febres Cordero Medical Educational Foundation, Inc. acquired ownership of the Emilio Aguinaldo College of Medicine. In 1994, it was renamed along with the Medical Center as the De La Salle University-Health Sciences Campus. In 2007, in order to signal the institution’s drive to pursue its mission, the institution officially became the De La Salle Health Sciences Institute. The school is a constituent of De La Salle Philippines (DLSP), a network of 17 Lasallian institutions established in 2006 to replace the De La Salle University System.

3. Financial Scholarship

• Regular student

• Annual family gross income of 200,000 pesos or less for undergraduate and 400,000 pesos or less for College of Medicine

– 80 per subject for undergraduate
– 77 per subject for College of Medicine

• General Weighted Average (GWA) qualification:

– 85 or higher for undergraduate and Medicine

• National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) Score of 70% and above (for Medicine)

4. Service Scholarship

• Regular student should be at least on the 2nd year of playing as varsity or 2nd year of active membership and participation with the institutional chorale of DLSHSI
• Officers of the Institutional Student Council (ISC) (President, Vice President for Academics, Vice President for Activities, Vice President for Operations, Vice President for Finance, Vice President for Publicity and Mobilization, Executive Secretary, and College Assembly Presidents); Library Student Organization (LSO) (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer); Kollaborative Movement (KM) (President, Vice President, General Secretary, and Treasurer); and Saringhimig (SH) (President, Vice President for Internals, Vice President for Externals, Secretary, Treasurer, and College Representatives)
• Winners in international, national, regional, and provincial sports and choral competitions
• With good academic standing with grades not lower than 80 for undergraduate applicants and 75 for Medicine.
• General Weighted Average (GWA) of 83 or higher both for undergraduate and Medicine applicants.

Requirements and policies for this type of scholarship are set by the sponsoring organizations and are evaluated by the offices concerned but the applicants are required to file their applications at the Office of the Director for Academic Services through the Scholarship Program and Development Center.
