JEE Main Exam 2018

JEE Main 2018 – Every year the Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Main Exam is held by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). JEE Main is the single gateway for admission to NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) as well as engineering colleges and technology institutes run by the state governments and private institutions who have adopted JEE.

The most decisive point about the JEE Main exam is that only top 2.24 lakh candidates of JEE Main are eligible for JEE Advanced Examination. Hence, it is very important for the JEE Main aspirants to be thoroughly prepared for the upcoming test. JEE Main Entrance Exam is not as easy as it sounds. You need an extensive study to crack it.

The JEE Main 2018 exam will be held on 8th April, 2018 in offline mode and under online mode on 15th & 16th April 2018 (Tentative). For more details, refer to the table given below.

  • The maximum age limit for general category students is 25 years, whereas SC, ST and PwD category candidate’s age should not exceed 30 years.
  • Only those students who have successfully qualified the class 12 examination can appear in the JEE Main 2018 examination.
  • Students are provided only attempts to qualify the JEE Main examination

  • Online application form for JEE Main 2018 will be made available on the official website. JEE Main 2018 aspirants can apply online only through the official website.
  • It is important to read the information bulletin carefully, especially the eligibility criteria for the JEE Main exam, eligibility criteria for the JEE Advanced exam (it varies slightly) as well as eligibility criteria for admission to institutes you are targeting.
  • Be ready with the scanned copies of your photograph and signature in the specified size and choose your options carefully.
  • After successful registration, download the acknowledgment receipt and take the print for future assistance.

(1) In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit cards, the candidate will need to pay an additional processing charge as following
Credit Card: 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable.
